Rented a car through Holiday Cars it was Ace Car Rental, travel to Ace car rental, go early traffic is heavy in Tampa area, next day we left early for the car rental place (Ace) about 3 hours, shuttle to airport then lunch PIE airport is very nice, choose Ace Car Rental for your next car rental well worth your money. you have to visit clearwater beach. It,s as good as they say.Take a ride up to Tarpon Springs and enjoy the sponge docks .The food is amazing.The fish is alway's fresh as you can get.The people are alway's friendly and you can buy all the souveniers you want

This was the fastest and easiest rental car experience that we’ve ever had. Nice lady at the counter and she didn’t high pressure us into buying more extras that we didn’t need! Make sure to have your drivers license, passport and proof of insurance card. Check your rental car for any kind of minor damage, dents, scratches etc. Be aware of what time your rental agency opens and closes. One big help is having a GPS device to help you navigate in an unfamiliar state and warn you of problems ahead. Give yourself plenty of extra time to arrive at the airport to return your rental car and to check in and go through security on your flight home!

Spending a few hours of time prior to a trip organizing your itinerary is of utmost importance. Packing conveniently, pack your toiletries in a separate bag have a few plastic ziplock bag for things that get wet unexpectedly and to keep Electronics dry. Keep all small items in Ziploc baggies separated so you don't have to search through a clutter, grab the bag and look to find what you're looking for. Never overpack. It never pays to be rude to people helping you at airports rental counters or Uber/cab rides, those people will bend over backwards if you approach them in a stressful situation with calmness rather than frantic misbehavior. Always keep your guard up and watch for people that may not be looking out for your best interest. When you travel not everybody is out to get you, but some people are. Just keep that in mind. Book from Avis, they have the cheapest cars rates. Insurance rates are low. Paperwork is minimal, all you go and pick the key and head to your destination.

If you are going to a warm weather state in the winter - get the convertible!! You will NOT regret it. Only $10 more per day - that's only the price of two cups of coffee! We enjoyed it so much we would recommend it to everyone :)

The St. Petersburg airport is relatively small and limited in amenities. TSA procedures are fairly efficient, but I suggest minding the departure schedule for all airlines to gauge the wait times. All of my family is TSA pre-check, so we moved through nicely. There are only 2 restaurants in the airport, one in the main airport and one at the gate area. Food selection is limited and expensive. Operating hours are not accommodating for travel early or late. We were unable to get food service at the main restaurant before our departure flight at 7am. This may have been related to the holidays, but just be aware. Baggage claim is small and can get very crowded if multiple flights arrive simultaneously. Ground transportation is easily accessible if you need a taxi or Uber.

To experience Cuban cuisine visit Bodega on Central in St. Pete. The art museums in St. Pete, Tampa and Sarasota are awesome. Dont miss the beaches especially Anna Maria Island and Coquina Beach. Never miss the sunsets - they are so picturesque! Dine outside at Beach House and you are sure to get a picture perfect sunset pic and great food. Check out the donut experiment on AMI for great warm donuts! Take lots of pictures so you can remember the fabulous time you had!

From the initial booking everything was a great experience. No regrets great customer service. I'm glad I paid for the tolls ahead of time since I did do a lot of driving through them. Which they let me know ahead of time about that. Everything was explained in detail and answered all my questions. Will deffenetely be returning. Thanks for everything.

We love this area and go frequently. Lots to do and see. Beaches are lovely. Dining is pretty much anything you want. A favorite is Lulu's in Indian Rock's Beach. E & E restaurant is very good but pricey - go to the early bird special - food is amazing.

We stayed at Holiday Inn on the beach and it was beautiful. The street it is on is full of places to eat, dance and drink. Frenchy's at the end of the street was one our favorites. Pier 60 on the 9th floor is great place to watch the sunset. Most of the bars have life music on the weekends. Clearwater is a beautiful and fun place to visit.

I had a great visit to the St. Pete/Clearwater area. I spent time in Tampa/Bradenton and also at the beach in Siesta Key. Very nice beach and worth the trip for a nice clean beach and things to do for the day. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Plan ahead and book your flight as soon as you know your destination date!! Start planning your car rental (if needed) as soon as possible! The longer you wait to your destination time/date, the harder it may be to book a car! Coordinate clothing for packing so the weight of your luggage doesn't exceed the allotted amount! I have found, it is easy to over pack on unnecessary items.

Great area; lots to do. Spring training baseball games, great beaches, Fort Desoto park kayaking/hiking/biking, not too far to Disney parks, Sunken Gardens and more. Great condo rentals right on beach, so had nice walk on beach every morning.

Our destination was actually the Naples area. I loved the Naples Zoo! We fed giraffes and ibis's and saw lions, tigers, monkeys, alligators, etc. and all seemed very clean and had nice habitats.
